Today we've learned Podcast, another useful tool that will transform traditional method into fun and stimulating method to teach, learn and communicate in the classroom.

Level of students: Upper Primary (Year 4 to Year 6 )
Language level: Beginners to Pre - intermediate
Age: 9 to 11 years old

Goals: At the end of the activity, the students should be able to:
- Learn about food and vocabulary to describe food.
- Practice talking about food they like and dislike.
- Improve their pronunciation.
- Practice correct grammar and sentence structures.
Description of the activity:
It is a bite-sized 5 minute English
lesson with EF podEnglish. Students learn to talk about what they like to eat in English. In this English lesson they will hear people using countable and uncountable
nouns to talk about food. Also they will see the difference between words that
can be counted (an apple, two apples, some apples) and words that
cannot be counted (some milk, a glass of milk). Then, at the end of the activity, they will repeat and practice talking about food they like and dislike.

Lesson on Photostory
Today, I learned another useful ICT tool to be implemented in my everyday classroom practices. Using photo story, I think students could work on a project which give them a sense of ownership and accountability.
Though, I struggled at the beginning despite the step by step guide given by Dr Martha. At the end of the session, I completed it with the help of my friend Sonita. Million thanks to her. Need more practice!

A brief intro about ME
![]() |
| Narita Airport, Japan |
Hi! I'm Sina, an education officer works at an urban school in Brunei Darussalam. I have been teaching for almost 20 years. English Language is my specialization and I'm teaching Year 6 students.
I love teaching even though it's a kind of challenging sometimes!
2014 is a special year for me since I'm selected to join the Brunei-US ELEP for ASEAN. It's a great opportunity to work collaboratively with other participants from ASEAN nations and share ideas and thoughts about our profession. Also, the wonderful experience gains in Hawaii is unforgettable!
